Hashan Tillakaratne resigns as Bangladesh women’s head coach

Former Sri Lankan cricketer Hashan Tillakaratne has stepped down as head coach of the Bangladesh women’s cricket team.

His resignation follows the team’s failure to secure direct qualification for the 2025 ICC Women’s ODI World Cup.

Tillakaratne confirmed his decision during Bangladesh’s recent tour of the West Indies, where they suffered defeats in both ODIs and T20Is.
