The Ministry of Sports is scheduled to conduct the final selection trial for the Asian Youth Under-21 Netball Championship on Sunday (6), at the Sugathadasa Stadium in Colombo, sources from the Ministry of Sports said.
The final selection trial is to be overseen by Sri Lanka netball head coach Hyacinth Wijesinghe and her assistant P. D. N. Prasad.
Netball Asia (NA) is slated to conduct the Asian Youth Netball Championship 2025 from 14-21 June in South Korea.
The national youth squad comprising 25 players are currently undergoing training for the said tournament, after which the final 12 along with three standbys are to be chosen. Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand and India are set to compete in Group ‘A’.
