Bodyline Ltd., a division of MAS Holdings, officially handed over the Sri Lanka athletic kits for 2025 to the national contingent recently as part of the company’s ongoing partnership with Sri Lanka Athletics (SLA).
The event marked the continued partnership between Bodyline and SLA, which will extend through to the Los Angeles Olympics in 2028.
Bodyline Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Sahan Rajapakse presented the newly designed athletic kits to SLA President Major General (Retd) Palitha Fernando in the presence of Deputy Minister of Sports Sugath Thilakarathne. These kits, made by MAS with advanced performance-enhancing technology, will support Sri Lankan athletes as they prepare to compete on international platforms.
“We are proud to equip our athletes with high-quality performance apparel as they prepare to represent Sri Lanka internationally,” said Rajapakse. “We hope our partnership with SLA, which has gone from strength to strength over the years, gives our athletes the confidence to perform to their fullest potential.”
This year’s athletics team will wear the newly unveiled kits as they compete in a series of international events, including the sixth Asian U18 Athletics Championship, South Asian Senior Athletics Championship, World Athletics Relays, Asian Throwing Championships, Asian Youth Games, and World Athletics Championships.
Maj. Gen. Fernando said: “Having a reliable partner like Bodyline ensures that our athletes receive the best possible apparel and are free to focus on their training and performance without being held back. This collaboration is a testament to the shared vision of uplifting Sri Lanka athletics.”
“Public-Private Partnerships such as these are invaluable to the development of our athletes. We appreciate the commitment shown by MAS in supporting the country’s sporting talent and providing them with world-class apparel,” said Deputy Minister Thilakarathne.
