Royal Challengers Bangalore broke the bad luck hoodoo at last in their home venue to win by 11 runs. Nerve tingling.

When Rajat Padikal lost the coin toss at thei Chinaswamy Stadium at Bangalore yesterday against Rajasthan Royals, critics might have speculated another defeat in their own backyard because similar to the Wankade in Mumbai Chinaswamy Stadium too has this phobia.
Phil Salt and Virat Kholi got past the power play overs without losing their wickets , but Salt faulted batting on 26 . He lost his wicket to Hasaranga with RCB on 61 in the 7th over.
Virat Kholi and Devdut Padikal stroked a brand of excusite T 20 brand in batsmanship as the pair built a partnership of 95 runs for the 2nd wicket when an over enthusiastic Kholi was dismissed for a well made 70 by Joffry Archer in the 16th over after he had executed 8 boundaries and 2 maximums in 42 balls .
A total well above the 200 mark was on the horizon, but Devdutt Padikal gave his wicket away after making his 50 in quick time in 27 balls with the score on 161 for 3 wickets, sadly followed by another scalp of Paditar dismissed in the run of play for just 1 run by with the total on 163 for 4 wickets in 16.5 overs.
3 RCB wickets in 10 balls at a cost of 7 runs looked a great come back by Rajasthan Royals.
The trouble for Rajasthan Royals is the back-end talent of Royal Challengers Bangalore. Tim David is known as a Miller the Killer type of batter. He made 23 in just 15 balls with Jitesh Sharma on 21 , and the home team scraped through to 205 fo 5 wickets, a score at this venue tagged as a par total and well within chasing range.
It is a known fact that when Jaiswal opens, the batting against any opposition the bowling side unless otherwise bowls a signature delivery, he is a handful with his unorthodox execution.
Jaiswal thumped 49 in 19 deliveries at a strike rate of 257. 89 with 7 eye-catching boundaries and 3 eye straining maximums, but his over enthusiasm when on full throttle costs him his downfall more often than not.
Rajasthan Royals got to 72 for 2 in the power play overs , advanced to a striking distance of 162 for 4 wickets in 16.1 overs before Shimron Hetmyyer lost his composure and was a Hazelwood bunny for just 12 runs scalped in the 3rd ball of the 16th over with RR losing their 4th wicket on 162.
43 runs needed in 24 deliveries in this day and age with 6 wickets in hand will give the chasing side a 75 % win prediction on a win predictor indicator.
Bhuvanesh Kumar bowles the 17th over he gets thumped for 22 runs by Shubum Dube and Duwi Juriel. The Royal Challengers players on the park , the dug out , their spectators all press the pensive mode button on their faces.
22 runs in 2 overs , win predictor moves to 85 % in favour of RCB , with Juriel taking strike to a cold shoulder Jos Hazelwood with the batter on 47.
His first delivery was a yorker outside the off stump that went a begging for no runs . The second ball, thanks to technology, proved that Juriel got a faint nick in the bottom edge of the bat ruled out by the third umpire. Joffry Archer gets caught at extra cover off Hazelwood in the very next ball , and Hazelwood ends the vital penultimate over scalping 2 wickets for 1 run in 6 balls.
Rest is history , needing 22 runs to win in the last over , Yashas Dhyal leaks just 5 runs,
enjoys the run out of Hasaranga and Royal Challengers Bangalore for the first time this season, record an 11-run win in their home turf ,to occupy spot 3 .
Hazelwood man of the match for his 4 for 33.
