CSK are all but out of the edition after losing to SRH by 5 wickets in their IPL 2025 match at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai on Friday. Harshal Patel bagged a four-wicket haul as SRH bundled out CSK for 154 after opting to bowl first.
Dewald Brevis top-scored for CSK with a 25-ball 42, while Ayush Mhatre continued his impressive start to IPL with another cameo at the top. He hit 30 off 18 balls.
SRH stumbled in the chase but an unbeaten 49-run stand between Kamindu Mendis and Nitish Reddy eventually sealed the game for them. A loss for CSK meant that they stayed at the bottom spot in the points table with just two wins in nine matches.
The MS Dhoni-led side has lost seven matches and stands on the brink of elimination.
