Sri Lanka win a gold and two bronze medals at Thailand open athletics

Sri Lanka won one gold and two bronze medals at the Thailand Open Athletic Champion in Thailand yesterday. Shyama Dulani won the gold in 400m Hurdles clocking 1:02.49 seconds. Silver medal won by the Papua New Guinea’s Koniel Donna clocking 1:04.67 seconds while host Thailand won the bronze medal when their athlete Suchada Meesri clocked 1:12.25 seconds.

Meanwhile in the men’s 400m hurdle Asanka Ratnasena won the bronze medal clocking 52:67 seconds and Chine Taipei Chia Hsuan won the gold with 50.98 seconds while Indonesian A.Andrian won the silver with 52.33 seconds.

Sri Lanka’s second bronze medal was won by the Sarangi Silva as she equaled her personal best 6.12m in women’s long jump event. Gold medal went to Philippines when their athlete Marestella Sunag marked 6.23 meters and Maria Nnatalia of Iindonesia won the silver with 6.18 meter.
