The quadrennial most celebrated tournament in cricket, ICC World Cup 2019 will commence on May 30th. With a change in the format, ICC has helped the fans enjoy the best performance on the ground from the top 10 ranked teams.
With every team trying new up and coming players, we can be sure that a lot of action will transpire on the field. Some of the performers transcended from IPL to the cricketing extravaganza and will be playing for their country for the first time. This will serve as the pedestal for a rewarding career for these players who showcased great skills during their short run in the domestic, IPL, or any other circuit.
So without further ado, let’s get down to them:
#1 Jasprit Bumrah
After making his debut 3 years ago to the Indian squad, Jasprit is the favorite for the Men in Blue. The pacer has a mix of everything that is required from an ace-performer. From bouncers to toe-crushing yorkers and slower ones, the debutant can bowl every bowl in the cricket field.
After a great track record in 2018, and making his entry to the test, as well as ODI squad, the bowler has proven his worth with astonishing figures. He played 13 ODIs in 2018, and picked 22 wickets at 16.63 per wicket, and an economy of 3.62 as well as a strike-rate of 27.5.

#2 Jason Roy

#3 Kagiso Rabada
After making his debut at 20 years of age, the South African speedster has picked 106 wickets in 66 matches with an average of 26.43. Currently ranked at #5 in ICC ODI Bowling rankings and a recipient of Wisden’s Golden Boy Award, he is definitely the important factor for the Proteas in the bowling department.
#4Babar Azam
The 24-year Pakistani batsman is #5 ODI batsman in ICC rankings, and the cricket team has won 29 times when he was a part of the squad with his average at 85.94, while during 28 losing times, his average was 28.10. He has scored 2462 runs in 59 ODI matches at an average of 51.29.
#5Rashid Khan
Rashid Khan is a prodigy and wouldn’t be 21 when Afghanistan plays during the cricket world cup. He is #3 in ICC ODI Bowling Rankings and #1 in All-Rounder rankings. The performer has scored 123 wickets at an economy of 3.90, and an average of 15 along with a strike-rate of 23 in 57 ODI matches.
